Quite often when children learn scales they have difficulty with fingering, especially when playing hands together.
This new method for teaching scales focussing on ‘simultaneous’ finger patterns.
The system concentrates on the particular fingers which play simultaneously in each hand providing anchor points to improve coordination and speed up the learning process. Using just five scale and four arpeggio patterns throughout, memorising is quick, easy, and secure, and correct fingering guaranteed every time!
Even if you don’t read music notation this illustrated method works perfectly: keyboard and stave illustrations give greater clarity for both readers and non-readers alike. Covering every major and minor key: Book 1 begins with those scales required for Grades 1 and 2; Book 2 covers the scales for Grades 3 and 4; Book 3 covers Grade 5 and then revisits ALL previously learnt scales.
In addition each book includes the essential chords required for simple improvisations in each key covered. The key to understanding Scales and Arpeggios is using them creatively.
