The beautiful, coloured illustrations on their own will make this your child’s favourite book. Based on the Dogs and Birds approach to learning piano, this book enables all children, even those who do not yet know the alphabet, to play these simple arrangements with ease. With the help of a parent or a teacher even a three year old can start to use this book.

The book comes in two editions.

In the animal notes edition animal symbols are printed inside each note to signify the name of the note. This is recommended for ages three to six.

The contents of the blank notes edition are the same as that of the animal notes edition, but without the animal symbols. This is recommended for ages six to seven.

The two editions also be used in parallel, depending on the child's ability and interest.

My boys (4 & 9) were glued to the piano when we received our books. They were fighting for piano time and who would get to play the songs first. My older son was sight reading and my younger was working through the melody using the animals. I've never had so much song and music fill the house. The books are now incorporated into my 4-year old's lessons and the first songs he wants to practice. We both love that the pages include such details with the animals and the related history or facts associated with the songs, often sparking wonderful discussions.

This book has to be both the easiest and the fastest way a child (or even an adult!) can start to play the piano and a great intro for learning to read music. The concept behind this book is very clever yet so simple that anyone should be able to play the songs in this book very quickly. For example: Dog = note D, Cat = note C, Bird = note B, etc, etc. Genius!!! My son (aged 5) absolutely loves this book.

rnI bought this book for my daughter who is 5 years old. She loves this Nursery Rhyme book. She happily plays and sings the nursery songs everyday and wants to play new songs everyday. Also my son(8 years old) enjoys all the songs as well who even tries to play the songs using violin. It is a fantastic piano book for young chidren who is learning to play piano.rnrn rnrnrn rn
